ISR Lessons
ISR lessons are for children between the ages of 6 months and 6 years, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. Approximately 10 minutes in length and taught at your child's emotional and physical pace, averaging 4-7 weeks in length. The lessons are always gentle and individualized, eventually taught with clothing; because it is imperative children know how to make adjustments to their skills when fully clothed. Most importantly ISR lessons are always given with safety as the top priority.
ISR lessons are not scary (OK, maybe for the parent at first. But it is your job to present swim lessons in a positive light and be careful not to reinforce any negative behaviors)
The program does not “throw children into the water". ISR students are never thrown in the water. No child should ever be thrown in the water and doing so is potentially dangerous.
Learning self-rescue skills requires work on behalf of the child and parents. ISR children and parents commit to lessons 5 days a week for 4-7 weeks, adhering to all ISR protocols, paperwork, etc. Seeing your child become an aquatic problem solver makes the commitment worth it!
Please remember that there is no substitute for adult supervision.
Fees
The initial registration fee for NEW ISR students is $105.00 per child paid directly to Infant Swimming Resource. Every year thereafter, a $35.00 year renewal fee is paid to Infant Swimming Resource. These fees cover the cost of a screening procedure by medical personnel for physical and developmental readiness of your child, supplies, and educational programs for the general public and medical community. As a new student, once you register with ISR you will receive an envelope (this envelope should be kept and used to transport your daily BUDS back and forth to the pool) containing the Parent Resource Book and DVD, along with a voucher code for the Seal Store at www.ISRSealStore.com where you can use it to redeem for one ISR Children's shirt and one white swim diaper per child registered. Please apply the code during the checkout process. Please be advised that your purchase amount cannot be less than the value of the coupon, which is valued for one diaper and one shirt.
ISR weekly fees are $70.00 per child and payable by check (to Anita Pope), cash , or credit card through PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by credit card but you do need access to the internet and an email address. Payment is due in full every Monday.
